(1) Keep the air filter of the rotary drilling rig clean
If the air filter is too dirty, it will cause large air flow resistance, incomplete combustion of the mixture, and reduced engine power. Tests show that when the air filter is partially blocked, fuel consumption will increase by 5%. The driver should do the following to maintain the air filter: check and clean the air filter element once every 100 hours, and replace the air filter element once every 500 hours; when maintaining, do not use impact or vibration to clean the filter element, but use compressed air, pressure water or detergent to clean it; before installing the filter element into the filter housing, make sure that the cleaned filter element is completely dry.
(2) Regularly maintain the fuel system
If the rotary drilling rig fuel filtration effect is poor, the debris in the diesel will enter the injection pump, which will easily accelerate the wear of the precision parts, causing the engine power to decrease and the fuel consumption to increase. If the water and colloid in the fuel enter the cylinder, the combustible mixture will burn poorly, resulting in a decrease in engine power and an increase in fuel consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly replace the coarse and fine fuel filters, and frequently check whether the fuel pump and the oil nozzle of the rotary drilling rig are leaking or damaged. If the fuel pump and the oil nozzle are leaking or damaged, they should be repaired in time.
In addition, high-quality fuel should be used. Using inferior fuel will not only cause the rotary drilling rig engine to fail to reach the rated power and the fuel consumption to be higher than the calibration, but also cause early damage to the components of the fuel system and shorten the overhaul interval.
(3) Regularly replace the engine oil.
Failure to replace the engine oil at the prescribed time or improper selection of engine oil will aggravate the wear of the engine components of the small rotary drilling rig, have an adverse effect on the performance and life of the engine, and increase the engine fuel consumption. To this end, the same series, grade and viscosity of engine oil should be selected in strict accordance with the instructions, and the engine oil of the small rotary drilling rig should be replaced regularly according to the instructions.
(4) Perform other maintenance
Properly adjust the track tension and clean the mud attached to the walking device in time to reduce the walking resistance and reduce the walking fuel consumption. In addition, try to keep the hydraulic oil radiator and water radiator clean, and maintain the temperature of the hydraulic oil and coolant within a reasonable range, which will help improve operating efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
